With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services and retirement plan industry, Jim’s responsibilities at White Oak Advisors include consulting with our clients in all aspects of their plans, including compliance, investments, fiduciary management, plan design, analytic benchmarking and provider negotiations.
Jim has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation demonstrating his attainment of the highest level of experience, expertise and commitment to the retirement plan business and investment fiduciary responsibility standards. He is also an Investment Advisor Representative with KESTRA Advisory Services, LLC.

Jim graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Finance. His director or corporate memberships include the Profit Sharing Council of America, National Association of Plan Advisors, the Retirement Advisor Council, and the Financial Services Institute.
Richard C. Clouse, Jr. is the Practice Leader for White Oak’s Columbus, Ohio office and brings with him over 20 years of experience. An Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist, and Certified 401(k) Specialist, Ric also serves as White Oak’s lead consultant for client engagements.
Mr. Clouse is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association. In 2010, Mr. Clouse, Jr. was chosen as a Founding Lecturer for The Retirement Advisor University at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He was also recognized as one of the 300 Most Influential Defined Contribution Plan Advisors by 401k Wire.com in both 2009 and 2010. In 2012, Mr. Clouse, Jr. was one of the first 75 individuals to earn the Certified 401(k) Professional designation, C(k)P® awarded by The Retirement Advisor University at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Rick Bindler is White Oak Advisors’ Practice Leader in Chicago, Illinois. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary with over 25 years of experience, Rick brings invaluable insight to our clients by approaching investment reviews, fee benchmarking, and vendor searches with a solutions-based focus.
In a fiduciary capacity, Mr. Bindler works with clients to discover and evaluate their institutional needs, develop solutions, and secure commitment. As he puts it, “We are dedicated to being ‘Professional Problem Solvers’, not product salespeople.” Rick graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BA in Economics.
With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services and retirement plans industry, Kristie brings a sophisticated, ethical, and efficient approach to our clients’ investment and philanthropic goals. She serves as Practice Leader for White Oak Advisors’ marketplace search and benchmarking services. Kristie optimizes the program structure and cost-service package for clients who face the daunting task of managing and facilitating risk mitigation protocols.
In her role, Kristie consults with corporate employers, colleges and universities, foundations and endowments, and non-profit organizations that seek to better understand the efficiencies within their incumbent relationships, or conduct a provider search for services to support various participant- and committee-directed investments. Kristie leads our efforts in this specialized area by assisting our clients with their provider searches. Whether the need is for an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer, investment manager, defined contribution plan record keeper, trustee and/or custodian, defined benefit plan administrator or actuary, etc., she helps our clients with industry benchmarking, analysis, design, and negotiations to help ensure the retention of the optimal provider(s).

Kristie began her investment and retirement consulting career in 1993 and developed start-up businesses for Galliard Capital Management and Mercer. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of St. Thomas, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
